JACKSON, MS - On August 27, 2026, the Mississippi State Committee of the National Museum of Women in the Arts is hosting its Annual Honored Artist Luncheon at The Country Club of Jackson.

Committee President Cheryl Thornhill will welcome visitors to the occasion. Grace Dewitt, a representative from the National Museum of Women in the Arts, is flying in from D.C. as this year’s special guest.

“I am excited to be leading the organization as we honor three deserving women this year,” says Thornhill.

The 2026 Honored Artists are Eden Brent of Greenville, Andrea Kostyal of Hattiesburg, and  Ellen Ellis Lee of Ocean Springs.

The luncheon brings recognition to the work of distinguished women artists across Mississippi as treasures, celebrating their achievements and lasting contributions. The organization focuses on advancing the mission of the National Museum of Women in the Arts to champion women artists.

This event is RSVP only, with tickets being $35 per guest. Registration can be completed online at mscnmwa.org.
